Intensive scientific exchange and in-depth discussion among leading researchers from different subdisciplines in a welcoming atmosphere: These are the hallmarks of the International Titisee Conferences (ITCs), which have been held at Lake Titisee in the Black Forest region of Germany since 1962. Their topics cover the entire spectrum of basic research in biomedicine.
The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) sets the overarching theme and invites internationally renowned scientists to chair an ITC, define their topic and invite participants. Organization and funding are taken care of by the BIF.
