Since its beginning about 40 years ago, the Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) has made a point of providing fellowship holders with more than just a monthly stipend. The BIF supports these talented young scientists comprehensively during their PhD phase. We help them to challenge their limits and to reach their full potentials on their way toward independence.

Moreover, the BIF's seminars and personal support have nurtured the development of an impressive worldwide network of current and former fellows. In fact, some 90 % of them remain in contact with the BIF.
