Who we are looking for
We are an internationally renowned foundation that supports young scientists in the field of biomedical basic research. We are currently seeking a
Programme Administrator for Fellowship Support and Research Funding
Your responsibilities
- Supporting the office from processing incoming applications through to the awarding of fellowships and travel grants.
- Preparing extensive and diverse materials for the selection processes.
- Organising and assisting with the selection processes for funding programmes as well as preparing funding decisions.
- Providing personalised and comprehensive support to fellows throughout the duration of their funding.
- Preparing for and/or participating in seminars, meetings, and committee sessions.
- Handling predominantly English email correspondence and acting as the primary contact (in German and English) for initial enquiries about the funding programmes.
- Maintaining databases and compiling statistics.
Your profile
- Completed vocational training or academic qualifications in business administration or life sciences.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills; German language proficiency at a native-speaker level.
- Enthusiasm for supporting young people.
- A confident and approachable demeanour, with a sensitive and diplomatic manner when engaging with young scientists from around the world.
- Proficiency in common Office software.
- Willingness to develop skills in working with complex databases.
- Readiness to travel.
- Ideally, experience in research funding.
